Crain titles rank high in the national Azbee awards competition

August 2011 —Crain Communications Inc did well at the national Azbee awards, recently unveiled by the American Society of Business Publication Editors.

Automotive News received an honorable mention in the national Magazine of the Year competition, for publications with revenue over $2 million. Automotive News won gold in the Overall Headline Writing category. Automotive News Europe won gold in the design awards for Publication Redesign.

InvestmentNews won gold in the News Section category for its Sept. 6, 2010 section and silver for New or Relaunched Web site for InvestmentNews.com. In the Web Database category, InvestmentNews won silver for "The InvestmentNews Broker-Dealer Data Center."

P&I was recognized with a gold design award for "Pensions & Investments Largest Money Managers" cover, May 31, 2010.

Modern Healthcare's awards were silver for the Aug. 9, 2010 Special Supplement: "Sick, Sicker, Sickest" and bronze for Feature Series: "Not such a pastoral setting." July 26, Aug. 23, Sept. 27, 2010. Modern Healthcare.com earned a silver for Original Web Commentary for the June 30 and Aug. 9, 2010 "Friends in high places" and another silver in Web News for its Feb. 1, 2011 section.

Modern Physician scored bronze for Trade Show/Conference Coverage of "Live@MGMA."
