Plastics News honored by American Society of Business Publication Editors

The American Society of Business Publication Editors has again honored Plastics News for its show dailies. ASBPE recently recognized the publication's efforts at NPE 2009 in Chicago with a 2010 National Silver Azbee Award for best "On-Site Trade Show Coverage." in the largest publication category of "over $2 million" in annual revenues.

Plastics News, with a 13-person editorial team working from a makeshift newsroom in McCormick Place and its copy editors and production staffers back in Akron, produced 120 stories on-site that week and delivered three 48-page show dailies, sandwiched around a pair of weekly issues — meaning the publication delivered five fresh issues in five days to attendees.

Plastics News previously won ASBPE's National Gold Award for its NPE 2000 show dailies and a National Silver Azbee for its dailies at the 2001 Plastics USA show in Chicago.
